Our class of 2020 achieved fantastic A level results this summer, and have gone on to study at several prestigious universities.

We would like to extend our warmest congratulations to our class of 2020 who achieved outstanding A Level and GCSE results this summer, despite the unique and challenging conditions they were faced with over the last year.

A Levels

Based on their teacher assessments, which take into account students’ hard work, dedication, and focus over the two-year period, KPS' A Level students secured top exam results, many of which significantly exceeded the UK national average, and earned places on highly competitive university courses.

In the Sixth Form, 65% of grades were awarded A or A* grade. The highest performing subject, which saw 100% of students score an A or A* grade, was Chemistry, followed by Maths, Politics and Psychology.

Interim Headmaster, Mr Stephen Mellor, congratulated all students on their achievements; “KPS is proud to have a Sixth Form which provides a wide range of opportunities alongside the achievement of outstanding academic results. I congratulate all our young men and women who have added so much to the life of the school.”

Special mention must go to the following students who achieved tremendous results:

A* A* A*

UCL, Psychology

A* A* A*

University of Birmingham, Law
Zara A* A* A* A UCL, Psychology and Language Sciences

A* A* A

University of Warwick, Mathematics
Khashayar A* A* A Kings College London, Medicine

KPS students have much to be proud of with impressive results from our first GCSE cohort.

With a small cohort of Year 11 students completing their GCSEs with us in summer 2020, 65% of grades awarded were at Grades 9 - 7 (equivalent to A*- A). When compared with the national average of 27% 9-7 grades at GCSE, this is especially commendable.

Maths and Computer Science, in particular, deserve special mention with 100% of students scoring grades 9 – 6.

“The students should be immensely proud of their achievements as well as their individual and collective work ethic. They continued their studies all the way through the summer term and showed beyond doubt how committed they are to their education. I would like to thank the students for their remarkable resilience and the staff for their unwavering support.” remarked Mr Stephen Mellor.

All of our students deserve the highest praise. We would also like to recognise and congratulate the following students for their superb individual performance:

Layan Achieved grade 9 in six subjects and grade 8 in three subjects
Arun Achieved grade 9 in seven subjects, grade 8 in one subject, grade 7 in another and grade 6 in their final subject
Teagan Achieved grade 9 in three subjects, grade 8 in two subjects, grade 7 in a further two subjects and grade 6 in her final two subjects
Albi Achieved grade 9 in six subjects, one grade 8 and one grade 6.

A huge well done to our fantastic classes of 2020!

Take a look at which universities our class of 2020 students have gone on to study at this autumn, after achieving top grades in their exams.

We're hugely proud of our A level students this year and cannot wait to share how they've adjusted to life at university.
