We've been open during the summer term, and have prepared our boarding house in- line with government guidelines...

Throughout the summer term, PBH has remained open and home to several students who chose to remain in London. Whilst the normal care and attention has been given to them, staff have been busy preparing the house for a new academic year with some adaptations.

  • Cleaning- All rooms, corridors & contact points- thoroughly cleaned and enhanced cleaning routine implemented.
  • Personal hygiene- all students and staff will be regularly reminded and educated in appropriate hand hygiene protocols and clothes washing.
  • Medical- four rooms in the wing of the house have been adapted to become a full service medical centre. It is separate from the main living areas of the house and will provide an excellent level of care.
  • Reception- New sign in/out procedure, social distancing tools, temperature checking point & hand sanitisation stations.
  • Staff Training-  all staff have been and will continue to be briefed regularly regarding hygiene, safety & wellbeing measures.
  • Visitors- No staff or students will be allowed to host social visitors within boarding. External contractors, carrying out essential work, will adhere to strict guidelines.
  • PPE- students are free to wear their own PPE, including face masks. The school will maintain as much supply of PPE as is possible but it is advised to consider your own supply also.
  • Discrimination- as per the school’s anti-bullying and behaviour policies, any form of discrimination will not be tolerated and will be dealt with accordingly.
  • Social & Mental Wellbeing- during this period of change and potentially extended time in isolation, awareness and management of student wellbeing, as well as physical health, is of paramount importance. Tutors will be in regular contact with all students regarding what steps individuals can take for self-help as well as the support of peers. Whilst our boarding staff have a depth of experience in mental health issues we have provided additional training in this area so we are well equipped to best serve the students.
