We would like to extend our warmest congratulations to the students of Kensington Park School who achieved outstanding A Level and GCSE results this summer, despite the unique and challenging conditions they were faced with in the 2019-2020 academic year.

Sixth Form

Our A Level students gained 66% A- A* grades

Based on their teacher assessments, which take into account students’ hard work, dedication, and focus over the two-year period, Kensington Park School A-level graduates excelled in securing top grades significantly  exceeding the UK national average, and in earning places on highly competitive university courses.

In the Sixth Form, 66% of students achieved an A or A* grade. The highest performing subject, which saw 100% of students score an A or A* grade, was Chemistry, followed by Maths, Politics and Psychology.

Interim Headmaster, Mr Stephen Mellor, congratulated all students on their achievements; “KPS is proud to have a Sixth Form which provides a wide range of opportunities alongside the achievement of outstanding academic results. I congratulate all our young men and women who have added so much to the life of the school.”

Special mention must go to the following students who achieved tremendous results:

  • Zoe: A* A* A* and is now going on to study Psychology at UCL
  • Kitty: A* A* A*  who is now going on to study Law at the University of Birmingham
  • Zara: A* A* A* A  who now goes on to study Psychology & Language Sciences at UCL
  • Alex: A* A* A  going on now to study Mathematics at the University of Warwick
  • Khashayar: A* A* A and is now going on to study Medicine at Kings College London

GCSE

Our GCSE students gained 65% A- A* (7- 9) grades

Kensington Park School students have much to be proud of with impressive results from our first, inaugural, GCSE cohort.

With a small cohort of Year 11 students completing their GCSEs with us in summer 2020, 65% achieved grades 9 – 7 (equivalent to A*- A). When compared with the national average of 27% 9-7 grades at GCSE, this is especially commendable.

Maths and Computer Science, in particular, deserve special mention with 100% of students scoring grades 9 – 6.

“The students should be immensely proud of their achievements as well as their individual and collective work ethic. They continued their studies all the way through the summer term and showed beyond doubt how committed they are to their education. I would like to thank the students for their remarkable resilience and the staff for their unwavering support.” remarked Mr Stephen Mellor.

All of our students deserve the highest praise. We would also like to recognise and congratulate the following students for their superb individual performance:

Layan achieved grade 9 in six subjects and grade 8 in three subjects

Arun achieved grade 9 in seven subjects, grade 8 in one subject, grade 7 in another and grade 6 in his final subject

Teagan achieved grade 9 in three subjects, grade 8 in two subjects, grade 7 in a further two and grade 6 in her final two subjects

A huge well done to our GCSE and A Level classes of 2020!
