KPS Moves to Remote Learning

Remote Lessons due to COVID-19

Following today’s announcement by the Minister of State for Education, I am writing to inform you that from Monday 23 March, the school will move to remote learning.
Teaching at Bark Place and 59 Queen’s Gate will cease at midday on Friday. This will give pupils and staff the opportunity to gather up their possessions, and leave the school in a calm and orderly fashion. Lunch will be provided for pupils at the Lower School, but all pupils should be off-site by 1pm. Please ensure that your son or daughter has everything with them that they might need for their lessons. There will be no lessons on Friday afternoon.
Remote lessons will start at their scheduled times from 9am on Monday morning. Pupils will be expected to attend class, and registers will be taken. If for any reason your son or daughter will be missing lessons, please do let us know by contacting the school reception: for the Lower School for the Sixth Form

Please ensure that you include your son or daughter’s tutor in these communications. During this period of remote learning, tutors remain the first point of contact with the school for day-to-day matters. IT support will be made available, so in the event of any technical difficulties, pupils should email details of their problem to remembering to cc form tutors.

Please note, in the interests of safeguarding, it is important that pupils communicate with staff via their school email accounts only. Private email accounts must not be used.
A remote reception will be set up and manned by our current admin team. Calls which come through to our normal school numbers will be diverted accordingly. Please note, this reception service will be on a reduced basis. The summer term is scheduled to begin on Monday 20 April. Should it be necessary, remote lessons will recommence at that time.

For those of you in a different time zone - perhaps many hours ahead or behind us here in London - and for whom lessons may take place at times which make it impracticable for you to join your class, it is important to remember that work will be posted on Firefly. For official guidance on a wide range of related topics – including self-isolation - please refer to the government website:

Thank you for your understanding and support during these difficult times. I wish you all well and look forward to seeing you next term.

Yours sincerely,

Paul Vanni
