Anna Piggott

Teacher of Drama and Theatre Studies

E:

I fell in love with acting at a young age, performing whenever and wherever I could; from school plays to the local youth group and then at seventeen joining Stamford Shakespeare Company. It was no surprise when I chose to study Drama at university and continued my journey to Drama School completing my Masters in Acting at East15 School of Acting.

In 2015, I completed my teacher training in Manchester before securing a teaching job in Leeds, where I stayed before leaving my last position as the Head of Performing Arts to join KPS.

I believe the best education promotes kindness and social responsibility building confidence and resilience. I hope to create a learning environment where students value their education, whilst finding fulfilment, meaning and purpose behind what they learn through the arts. At the weekend, I can often be found running, climbing or reading a good book.
