Catherine Kay

Deputy Head, Head of Sixth Form and Teacher of Psychology


Catherine is Deputy Head, Head of Sixth Form and Psychology teacher at KPS. She studied Psychology at the University of Leeds and then completed a Masters at the University of Exeter. She has been teaching Psychology for many years both in the state and independent sectors.

Catherine was a Research Fellow in the Child Health Department at the University of Exeter until completing a PGCE and moving into teaching. She has taught students at all levels from GCSE and BTEC through to supervising Masters Projects and adult learners. She is also an examiner for AQA and has extensive experience of supporting students in their university application.

In the classroom, learner success is key to Catherine’s philosophy and outside the classroom she is an avid baker!
