Christina Wallace

Teacher of English

English, for me, is a crucial subject for children to study, equipping them with the real-life skills to go on into the world of work and excel in whatever they set their minds on. Whilst teaching English, I have found myself constantly using my imagination to create exciting lessons where students get to work both independently and in groups to explore literary texts and elements of the English language.

Originally residing and teaching in Manchester, I recently relocated to London in order to teach at KPS. In line with my degree in Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic from the University of Cambridge, my particular interests in the English classroom are early English texts, such as Shakespeare or Beowulf, as well as grammar and language studies. Outside of school, I enjoy reading, with my favourite author being Ian McEwan, alongside playing video games and meeting friends to play board-games.
