Elizabeth Emerton

Science Coordinator (Lower School)

E:

For me, teaching has never been a job, simply a vocation. I have had the privilege of leading the Science department at The Hall School, Hampstead for many years and more recently at Eaton House the Manor, in Clapham. I enjoy seeing pupils develop an awareness of the world around them as they investigate and discover new scientific concepts. My desire to cultivate a love of science inspired me as the IAPS Science Co-ordinator to hold training courses for teachers from around the country, working with different prep and senior schools. I also sat on the SATIPS committee. I spent a number of years teaching CCF at Eton College, having obtained a TA commission from Sandhurst when I was at Cambridge, where I read Physics and Education at Homerton College. When I am not working I love to spend time with my husband and three children, skiing and sailing in the holidays.
