Jeanne-Marie Dano

Teacher of French and Spanish

E:

I grew up in France and moved to London in 2015 to pursue my dream of becoming a French teacher in the UK. I have a languages degree in four languages, which I studied for in Brittany where I am originally from. I then moved to Paris to study for a Master’s Degree in teaching languages, which I undertook whilst also teaching French in an American school in Neuilly-Sur-Seine.
Living and working in London had always been a dream for me, so when I graduated, I decided to move to London to do my teacher training at Goldsmiths University. Before joining KPS I was a French and Spanish teacher in an outstanding department in South West London.
I chose to be a teacher because I wanted to take responsibility for the next generation. I am always amazed when I hear foreigners speaking my native language. I feel that languages are an essential tool nowadays, especially in a world where communicating and travelling has become so easy. I am a keen horse rider and I wouldn't be French if cheese wasn't an important part of my life!
