Kathryn Boyes

SENCO Teacher

E:

I am the SENCO teacher at Kensington Park School. I decided I wanted to teach as a sixth former after participating in a reading scheme supporting younger children with reading difficulties. Following this, I applied to the University of York where I graduated with a degree in Educational Studies and the York Award for the volunteering I had done at SEN departments in local schools. I gained my PGCE from the University of Cambridge then spent two years teaching in Norfolk. I moved to London to join Belleville School and returned to study at Cambridge on a part time basis to obtain my Master’s. After completing this, I joined The Dominie School for children with specific learning difficulties. I took on the role of Lead Maths Teacher and completed my OCR Level 5 diploma to support learners with dyslexia and other learning difficulties. Outside of school, I enjoy running, swimming and watching football.
