Marwan Mikdadi

Executive Principal and Teacher of Economics

E:

I was fortunate to have a fantastic time at school here in west London, studying history, economics and politics. Being taught by some brilliant teachers I was inspired to read Economics and Economic History at Queen’s, Belfast, where I enjoyed myself so much that I stayed on to do a Master's and eventually my teacher training qualification. Before deciding to pursue a career in teaching I trained as an accountant with KPMG, which lets me appreciate the wonderful job I now have.

I started my teaching career at RGS Guildford in the late 90s, before moving to St Paul’s where I was Head of Economics for most of the 10 years I was there, before becoming Deputy Head at Bancroft’s School. Away from school I have written a number of resources to support economics teaching and a number of revision guides, as well as being Principal Examiner for A-Level Economics between 2004 and 2009.

I am Executive Principal working both at KPS and our sister school Chelsea Independent College. When I am not working, I read military history books, travel the world and follow Manchester United.
