Paul Vanni

I have joined KPS having spent twenty years teaching French and Italian at St Paul’s School and St Paul’s Girls’ School – two very different entities indeed! Before that I spent a couple of years working in France, including a year teaching English at the Sorbonne.

I enjoyed my own schooldays and can vividly remember the moment, aged fourteen, when I realised I wanted to be a teacher. The ability to pursue my own teenage academic and co-curricular interests in my adult life was too much of a pull for me, and I have never looked back. I have always believed in the holistic nature of education, and as a headmaster I want my pupils to embrace all of the opportunities on offer to them here at KPS.

When not working I love reconnecting with my roots in Tuscany, reading, discussing politics and, above all, spending time with my family; the latter includes a very fluffy cat called Hugo. I have a passing knowledge of the Breton language and a slightly obsessive interest in sporting trivia.
