Ryan Mitchell

Teacher of Physical Education

E:

I have found throughout life that sport has always taught me the most important lessons. Studying Physical Education at the University of Brighton and holding the role of President at the University of Brighton Boxing Club, I discovered great joy teaching athletes, preparing them for both regional and national talent pathways.

Since qualifying as a Physical Education Teacher, before joining KPS, I was acting as Head of Student Health and Wellbeing, and Head of Rugby, for a school along the south coast. My passion for teaching, particularly PE, comes from watching students’ progress and develop in both sports they share a passion for, and those they are learning. Observing students understand teamwork, success and all the strong characteristics that can be strengthened through sport, leads me to believe I have the best job in the world.

Something to know about me is that I love to travel! Having worked as a Lifeguard at Universal Studios FL, I have met nearly all the Harry Potter cast!
