The assessment for the Lower School (Years 7 – 10) include:

  • English and Mathematics assessment paper
  • Non-Verbal Reasoning paper
  • A one-to-one interview allowing us to explore what interests your child, what drives and motivates them, what they care about. The interview also gives students the chance to get to know us and ask any questions they may have about our school.

The criteria for Sixth Form entry (Year 12) include:

  • 6 x GCSEs at Grade 9 - 6, or an equivalent if the student is at a school not sitting GCSEs or is not being educated within the UK (or associated) education system.
  • A minimum Grade 7 at GCSE in subjects they hope to study at A Level (Grade 8 Mathematics GCSE is required for Further Mathematics)
  • Other requirements: 5 at GCSE Mathematics and English for students from UK schools
  • Verbal and Non-verbal Reasoning tests
  • A one-to-one interview by a subject specialist
  • A reference from current school
  • A personal statement (maximum 500- 700 words). This should highlight your academic achievements to date, any co-curricular interests and hobbies, your future university and career aspirations, and why you would make a good addition to Kensington Park School
