Here is a summary of our simple three-stage admissions process:
Stage 1: Application:
When you have visited the school/ attended on online Open Evening and are ready to proceed with an application, please find below the items required:
- The Registration Form
- A scanned copy of your child’s passport
- A scanned copy of the most recent school report
- Any specialist report/ educational psychology report
- A £250 registration fee to:

As the number of available places is limited, we strongly advise families to submit their registration before the deadline (05 March 2021)
Stage 2: Assessment and Interview:
When your application pack is submitted, we will invite your child for an assessment and interview. (This can also be conducted online, if you are not able to physically attend).
The assessment for the Lower School (Years 7 – 10) include:
- English and Mathematics assessment paper
- Non-Verbal Reasoning paper
- A one-to-one interview allowing us to explore what interests your child, what drives and motivates them, what they care about. The interview also gives students the chance to get to know us and ask any questions they may have about our school.
The criteria for Sixth Form entry (Year 12) include:
- 6 x GCSEs at Grade 9 - 6, or an equivalent if the student is at a school not sitting GCSEs or is not being educated within the UK (or associated) education system.
- A minimum Grade 7 at GCSE in subjects they hope to study at A Level (Grade 8 Mathematics GCSE is required for Further Mathematics)
- Other requirements: 5 at GCSE Mathematics and English for students from UK schools
- Verbal and Non-verbal Reasoning tests
- A one-to-one interview by a subject specialist
- A reference from current school
- A personal statement (maximum 500- 700 words). This should highlight your academic achievements to date, any co-curricular interests and hobbies, your future university and career aspirations, and why you would make a good addition to Kensington Park School
Stage 3: Next steps:
We aim to inform families of the outcome within 7 days of their interview. Successful applicants will receive a formal Offer Pack. A deadline for acceptance will be outlined in the offer letter.
