KPS Sixth Form Drama and Theatre department recently went on a trip to see ‘Equus’ at the Theatre Royal Stratford East. The play is one of the set texts for Drama and Theatre A-Level. A-Level pupil Dariya thought it was one of the best plays she had ever seen:

‘It was amazing how the actors brought the characters alive. We experienced the agony of both lead actors and the physicality of the actors playing the horses was incredible. How they moved their shoulder blades and muscles in general, imitated a horse’s movement exactly; they really suspended the audience’s disbelief. However, it was how the director explored Alan’s mental state and the crime he committed that was truly momentous. All theatrical elements from movement, music and lighting came together to create an unforgettable experience.’
