On Monday we welcomed nutritionist Sally Crewe to the school for a health awareness day on ‘The Power of Grains’. During morning assembly, Sally shared with pupils her wealth of nutritional knowledge, highlighting the importance of a balanced diet and combatting some common nutritional myths.

Sally discussed the value of including wholegrains in your diet, benefits of which include lowering the risk of chronic diseases, such as coronary heart disease, diabetes, and cancer.

Continuing the theme of ‘The Power of Grains’ our caterers Holroyd Howe prepared a special lunch for staff and pupils, including an array of delicious salads, demonstrating how grains – such as freekeh, barley, quinoa and couscous – can be incorporated into your diet.

Thanks so much to the team at Holroyd Howe!
