A level Physicists spent an inspirational 3 days in Geneva, Switzerland where they visited the European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN) and SeuJet hydroelectric power station.

They learnt about particle physics and got to speak to scientists working on finding out the last pieces of the puzzle explaining how our universe was formed. They even had access to the ATLAS detector where the Nobel Prize winning discovery of the Higgs-Boson particle occurred.

Furthermore, they were able to deepen their understanding of electricity generation by having exclusive access to turbines and alternators.  Many thanks to Ms Amonoo, Dr Siddiqui and Mr Wong.
