To cap off the Summer term, our Mandarin teacher, Ms Lu, took students on a weeklong trip to Singapore! The trip constitutes the further our school has traveled since we opened in 2018, as well as our first-ever trip outside of Europe.

Students experienced full immersion into the bustling South-Asian metropolis, where Mandarin is spoken alongside Malay, English, and Tamil. Through daily conversations with locals, visits to museums, and cultural institutions, our students rapidly improved their language skills while enjoying all of the amenities of a world-class city.

Over the course of the week, students took part in a range of worthwhile activities including workshops in calligraphy and traditional cooking techniques, as well as a night-time safari. They also visited Universal Studios Singapore and the famous Gardens by the Bay, a nature park spanning 101 hectares of cascading plant life.

Overall, it was a memorable way to close out an exciting academic year, and we cannot wait to welcome our students back in the Autumn for further exploration!
