On Saturday 16 March Teagan competed in the Newham BRC, which was the final U17 BRC (British Ranking Competition) for the 2018/19 season. In a field of 49 Teagan was seeded number one and fenced in a poule of seven fencers.  Winning all six fights and dropping only 4 points, Teagan was ranked first after the poules.  Moving into the DE’s (direct eliminations) Teagan had a bye into the last.  A 15-6 victory saw her move to the top 16. and then into the quarter-finals. With a 15-5 victory she move into the semi-finals and faced her club mate. Teagan had a 15-5 victory to move into the finals.  Teagan walked away with the gold medal and trophy.

Sunday 17 March Tegan travelled on to Canterbury for the Invicta Senior Open.  In a field of 36 fencers, Teagan was seeded number one and fenced in a poule of six fencers.  Winning all five fights and dropping only 4 points, Teagan was ranked second after the poules receiving a bye into the last 16.  Winning 15-0, Teagan sailed through to the last sixteen where she had a 15-2 victory which took her to the quarter-finals.  With a 15-4 win, Teagan sailed through to the semi-finals.  Meeting a club mate, Teagan took the lead to win 15-8. In the finals Teagan met a seasoned Senior who she beat 15-11.

“This result comes at the end of an excellent cadet and junior season for Williams-Stewart who has not only won every single U17 and U20 British Ranking competition since September, but has also gained selection for every single U17 and U20 World Cup this season” said Newham Swords Club Manager, Linda Strachan.
