October is Black History Month and throughout the next few weeks, KPS will be celebrating the impact figures in Black history have had on the music, art, film and literature industries in the UK.

Starting with Humanities Week, students have a host of activities both inside and outside the classroom to enjoy as part of these celebrations, including singing assemblies which focus on Black artists; a special film club showing of The Butler; a deeper dive into the role of black figures in Maths, Science and Sports; and much more!

Towards the end of this week, students will also take part in our KPS Scavenger Hunt, looking out for landmark historical figures dotted around the Lower School. Merit points are up for grabs, and there is even the opportunity to earn a Headmaster's Commendation through completing a research project on a chosen historic figure!
